Can I Lose Weight Without Exercise?

Yes, it is possible! New moms constantly lament that they just cannot lose weight because they don't have the time or energy to commit to a regular exercise program. But exercise is only one key in overall weight loss. In order to lose weight, you must also consider making other overall lifestyle changes in your calorie intake.

In simple terms, if you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. But if you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose weight. And for every 3500 unburned calories, you will gain an average of one pound. But for every 3500 calories you burned over your actual calorie intake, you will lose one pound.

Restricting your calorie intake means utilizing every ounce of will power you can muster. Will power is what will make or break a diet. But what if you find yourself hungry all the time, and just cannot eliminate those extra calories each week to lose weight?

Think about healthy alternatives that can fill you up without packing calories. Yes, carrots can be boring, but they work. But other veggies, such as cherry tomatoes, peppers and celery are also low calorie too, and are great with a fat-free veggie dip. Or go back to your childhood with things like apple slices and peanut butter.

There are also plenty of natural supplements out there to boost your metabolism and curb your hunger appetite. The most popular at the moment is Acai Berry, but there are others that you can find at your local pharmacy and health food store.
