Getting Rid of Fat Thighs

Many women complain about "fat thighs" after pregnancy, and unfortunately, there is no miracle cure for this problem. There is no special diet that will reduce the size of your thighs, so don't be taken in by fasle claims of a diet that will only reduce "problem" areas on your body.

Do what is a woman to do? If you want to lose weight in your thighs, you will have to undertake an overall weight loss management program. This includes:

Eat healthy and sensibly. Your diet is an important part of weight management - eat fast food and it will show, but if you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, that will show too.

Drink a minimum of 8 8-oz glasses of water per day. Water plays a crucial key in weight loss, and do not mistake pop or coffee as water. It needs to be actual water in its pure form for it to count as part of your 8 daily glasses.

Exercise regularly. Although not absolutely neccessary, it does help the pounds come off more quickly. Don't have time to exercise? Read our article Can I Lose Weight Without Exercising.

Consider using an herbal supplement (consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding) such as acai berry.

Many women falsely believe that super exercising their problem areas, such as their thighs, will work wonders that particular body part. But be forewarned - this will usually result in an increase in thigh size, not a decrease, as the muscle builds up. So don't over exercise, but exercise your thighs moderately, until you see a definite toning, but not over-muscular thighs and calves.
